PLAYGARAJ v3.2.0 - CREATORS, DARK BY DEFAULT, SAFER BROWSING

Hello PlayGaraj community! ✌️

After SHIFT landed in v3.0.0, this release is about the people behind the garage and the experience around it: an Official Creator Program, a brand-new dark-first look, real 18+ content controls, and a long list of speed, chat, and ad improvements.

Here is everything that changed in v3.2.0:

⭐ NEW: OFFICIAL CREATOR PROGRAM

If you make PlayGaraj content on YouTube, Instagram, or TikTok, you can now apply for an official creator role — straight from the app.

  1. Apply From Your Profile
    • Pick the platforms you want to apply for, add your channel link and the content that meets the requirements, and submit.
    • Requirements are shown per platform before you apply, so you always know what is expected.
    • Applications are reviewed manually by our team. You are notified as soon as a decision is made.
  2. Per-Platform Approval
    • Applied for three platforms but only two qualify? No problem — approvals are granted per platform, so partial approval is possible instead of an all-or-nothing rejection.
  3. Ownership Verification
    • A personal verification code proves the account you submitted really belongs to you before the role is granted.
  4. Creator Links On Your Profile
    • Approved platforms appear as tappable platform icons right next to your name — visitors can jump straight to your channel.
    • You can update your channel links later without filing a new application.
  5. Stay Active, Stay Creator
    • The creator role is kept alive by continuing to publish. A renewal screen and an in-app reminder tell you exactly what is needed and when — no surprise removals.

🌙 A NEW LOOK: DARK BY DEFAULT

  1. Dark Theme Is Now the Default
    • PlayGaraj's visual identity was designed around dark mode, so fresh installs now start in dark. If you have already picked a theme, your choice is respected and nothing changes.
    • Light-mode users get a friendly one-tap suggestion card on Home — switch instantly, or dismiss it and it stays out of the way.
    • You can still change the theme at any time from Settings.
  2. New App Icon & Splash Screen
    • A refreshed PlayGaraj logo across the app icon, splash screen, and web icons.
    • The launch screen was rebuilt for modern Android and iOS devices — cleaner edges, correct behavior on notch/cutout displays, and no white flash before the app appears.
  3. Redesigned Profile Header
    • Name, creator links, and your listing/follower/following stats now sit together next to your avatar — less scrolling before you reach the content.
    • Your rank and rating are condensed into a single tappable chip that opens the full breakdown.
    • Edit Profile is now the primary action, with Share and Feature as compact icon buttons beside it.

🔞 18+ CONTENT CONTROLS

Some in-game designs are made for a mature audience. Instead of leaving that to chance, listings can now be declared as 18+ — and the app handles the rest.

  1. Owner Declaration
    • While posting or editing a listing, the owner can mark it as containing 18+ artwork/design.
    • Ticking the box does not make anything allowed: clearly unacceptable content can still be removed.
  2. Blurred Everywhere
    • Marked listings appear blurred with a clear "18+" badge in every list they show up in — Home, popular listings, profiles, similar listings, event leaderboards, chat, and the SHIFT feed.
    • The blur is produced before the image ever reaches your device, so the original photo is never downloaded in a browsing surface.
    • Shared listing cards use the blurred version too, so 18+ imagery does not leave the app in the clear.
  3. A Warning You Can't Skip By Accident
    • Opening a marked listing always shows a warning first — no matter where you came from: Home, SHIFT, favorites, chat, a notification, or a shared link.
    • Nothing from the listing is loaded until you confirm, and the 18+ badge stays visible afterwards.

📜 COMMUNITY GUIDELINES

  1. Always One Tap Away
    • Community Guidelines now have their own entry in Settings, next to the Terms and Privacy Policy.
  2. Confirmed Before Posting
    • The pre-listing confirmation dialog now asks you to read and accept the Community Guidelines in addition to the Terms of Use, so everyone posting knows the rules.

💬 CHAT & NOTIFICATIONS

  • More Accurate Unread Counts: Unread badges are now updated atomically, so two people messaging at the same time can no longer make a counter drift or reset unexpectedly.
  • Calmer Typing Indicator: The "typing…" state no longer flickers off and on while you pause to think mid-message.
  • Faster Chat Opening: Opening a long conversation is dramatically lighter — chats with hundreds of messages no longer re-process their entire history every time you enter.
  • Branded Notifications: Push notifications now use a proper PlayGaraj notification icon and brand accent color on Android.
  • Notifications Go Straight to the Content: Tapping a notification now opens the listing or profile immediately — the full-screen ad that used to appear in between is gone.

⚡ SPEED & DATA USAGE

A full pass over how the app talks to our servers. You should notice quicker screens and less mobile data burned in the background.

  • Listing Detail: The "similar listings" section fetches far less data for the same results.
  • Popular Listings: Reopening the weekly popular list within the same session is now instant.
  • SHIFT Feed: Page loading was reworked to stop re-requesting the same fresh listings on every scroll batch, and a view now counts only after you actually stop to look at a card.
  • Home & Following: Your following list is cached and kept up to date locally, so leaving and re-entering user search no longer re-downloads it.
  • Overall: These changes reduce background traffic substantially without changing what you see on screen.

📢 FEWER INTERRUPTIONS

  • One Less Full-Screen Ad: The interstitial shown after tapping a notification has been removed entirely.
  • Lighter Ad Spacing on Home: Ads in the Home feed were spaced back out after a denser layout proved worse for everyone — fewer, better-filled ads instead of more empty slots.
  • Smarter Ad Loading: When no ad is available, the app now backs off properly instead of retrying in a loop — less battery and data spent on requests that go nowhere.
  • PRO: PRO members continue to browse without any of this.

🛠️ POLISH & PLATFORM IMPROVEMENTS

  • Updated Ad SDKs: The advertising stack was upgraded to its latest major version for better stability on new Android releases.
  • Full Localization: Every new string in this release — 18+ warnings, Community Guidelines, dark-mode suggestion, creator screens — is available in all supported app languages (TR, EN, DE, ES, FR, PT, RU, AZ).
  • Display Fixes: Better handling of cutout/notch screens and system bars during app launch.

🔒 SECURITY & TRUST

* Note: Internal backend, rollout, and ad-configuration details have been safely redacted for public release.

  • View Counter Protection: Listing view counts can now only be incremented by signed-in users, one view at a time — closing off a route that could be used to inflate the popularity rankings.
  • Fail-Closed Content Shielding: If a blurred preview cannot be produced for an 18+ listing, the app shows a solid placeholder rather than falling back to the original image.
  • Verified Creator Roles: Creator badges, platforms, and links can only be granted and written by our servers after review — they cannot be self-assigned from the app.
  • Account Deletion: Deletion still removes your listings, notifications, follow relationships, and account. As stated in our policy, conversation data is retained where needed for safety and moderation — details in our Privacy Policy.
